ISSUES
Fiscal Responsibility
Budget
Tax dollars spent should be in alignment with the needs of our community. I will work to restore and maintain subsidies for the Mission Viejo Library, Kids Factory, animal services, and other recreational services that support the whole community.
Transparency
I am committed to transparency and openness in city governance. People of this community have the right (and responsibility) to vote on decisions affecting their tax dollars and quality of life. Decisions such as allowing City real estate purchases should be decided by a public vote. I will implement innovative methods that will engage the community in making important decisions.
Inclusion
Inclusiveness = More Information = Better Decisions. This applies to everyone and everything, including City Councils. It is time to elect individuals with diverse perspectives that will be proactive in community outreach to get more involvement in City Council decisions, including under represented groups.
Civility
City Councils must remain non-partisan. Every resident of Mission Viejo has a right to express their views, without being insulted or ignored. I will listen respectfully to everyone and encourage lively debate around issues of community interest.
Ethics
All City Council members must respect the term limit for which they are elected. I will honor the 4-year term when I am elected. I will not mislead the community or illegally extend my term of office.

Public Safety
Safety
I want to keep our homes, schools, and businesses safe.
Everyone should be able to live in a safe community where they can thrive regardless of socioeconomics. As safety challenges continue to evolve, it is important for our public safety departments to remain nimble to respond to these challenges.
E-Bikes
I want to keep our community safe for riders and pedestrians. As e-bikes have gained in popularity so has unsafe use of these bikes. I don't want anyone to get injured or have any family deal with something far worse. It is important to be proactive for our community.

Mental Health
I want to keep residents of Mission Viejo safe mentally and physically. Due to COVID-19, individuals needing mental health treatment has increased significantly, especially among our youth. It is important to have more mental health providers available to our community.
Hate Speech
Our community should be a safe haven for all. I will speak out against hate speech against any marginalized group. All religions should be recognized and celebrated. Having an awareness of the risks and concerns of minority communities will affect my perspective on decisions made by City Council.
Development
Core Area Vision Plan
I support a thoughtful approach to planning our city center that includes realistic financial projections and return on investment. I will engage key stakeholders and develop a plan that is fiscally responsible and has long-term viability.
Small Businesses
As a small business owner, I support locally owned small businesses. I want to enhance Mission Viejo by adding a variety of shops and restaurants. I will work to attract new businesses and engage with existing ones to strengthen relationships and collaborate on how best to support their continued success.
Technology
I want Mission Viejo to be at the forefront of technology. Mission Viejo residents and businesses have had one internet and cable provider for far too long. It is time to broaden our horizons and choices for better service and pricing.
